Over Here Theatre Company is an award winning, independently run theatre production company which has been producing North American plays in London since 2014. Writers we have produced include Eric Henry Sanders, James Anthony Tyler, Kevin Kautzman, Aurin Squire, Kevin Armento and Jaquelyn Reingold.

Originally from New York, artistic director Lydia Parker trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts/ Stella Adler Conservatory and Drama Studio, London. She has directed and produced plays in New York, Puerto Rico and London. Her UK productions include Christopher Durang’s The Actor’s Nightmare starring Meaghan Martin at the Park Theatre, Our American Cousin and Dolphins and Sharks at the Finborough Theatre, ObamAmerica at Theatre503 and Maybe, Probably at the Old Red Lion.
We are looking for exciting, challenging, thought provoking, funny and disturbing plays. We love political work but also personal work that resonates, and anything that takes some chances. We want to read something that surprises us.

Our most recent production, Moderation by Kevin Kautzman at the Hope Theatre, received four- and five-star reviews and an Offies Assessors Award. It has been nominated for four further awards by the Fringe Theatre Awards, including best director for Lydia Parker.

Most off West End theatres in London are purely receiving houses and will not fund any productions themselves. Playwrights will need to source funding for the production. Over Here Theatre Company will connect your play to the right theatre, produce your play entirely, cast it with UK based professional actors, hire marketing and PR companies and all creatives. We encourage diverse hiring as well as the hiring of authentic North American actors who reside permanently in the UK.
If you have an exciting new play, we’d love to talk to you about a collaboration to get your play on in London.

Testimonials from playwrights:
Kevin Kautzman, playwright of Moderation: "Lydia Parker produced and directed my play MODERATION at the Hope Theatre in London in March-April of 2025, to numerous four and five star reviews. A challenging, topical two-hander, Lydia and company handled the play with sensitivity, professionalism, and passion and delivered a production we are all extremely proud of and which received an Assessors' Choice notice from the Offies and four nominations at the Fringe Theatre Awards, including New Writing for a Play. Lydia undertook MODERATION in a wonderfully collaborative spirit and simply crushed this production. I'd recommend her to any American playwright looking to have work staged in London and hope to work with her again."
Eric Henry Sanders, playwright of Maybe, Probably: “Lydia Parker is one of the most responsible, professional, and delightful producers I’ve ever worked with in my twenty-five years as a playwright. As the producer and director for MAYBE, PROBABLY she realized my vision for the play creating a brilliant production that garnered five-star reviews and sold-out houses.”
